Imagine plugin with a Trojan?

Post by *shammat »

Hi,

since one of the last updates of my AntiVirus checker, it reports the Imagine plugin to contain the Trojan "tr/crypt.zpack.gen"

Does anyone else get this report?
Is this a false alarm?

:) Hello !

• I get it too for :
Imagine.EXE 17,5 Kio 04/07/2009 23:00 -a--
with Avira Personal, but I think that's a false positive…
- I guess that it should be more appropriate to move that thread into the Plugins section
where the Imagine gurus will be able to deal with that “issue”… ;)

Hello, shammat.

I would like to suggest that you upload the Imagine plugin file which is considered a trojan by your AV software to www.virustotal.com. This may help a lot in deciding whether the alert is a false one (I tend to guess so) or correct.

Kind regards,
Karl

FYI: Avira:The file "Imagine.exe' was classified as "false positive'...

As always, it's a good idea to upload files to

http://virusscan.jotti.org/en
or
http://www.virustotal.com

to get a better impression what other virus scanner think about suspicious files.

Regards
Holger
