I tried the TC6.53 but I havent find the option to save the "Show admin shares".
For the next version, can you save the "Show admin shares" settings?
Thanks

I will consider it, although it doesn't work on all Windows versions (it has to be reapplied to each server).

And how about a option to show all hidden shares, and not only adminshares.ghisler(Author) wrote:I will consider it, although it doesn't work on all Windows versions (it has to be reapplied to each server).
This is discussed here http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=3881

BTW, Christian, what about implementing these two features (saving "Show admin shares option and showing not only X$, but all hidden shares) in v7.0? Are they planned or not?

TCv7 will show all hidden shares when you choose "show admin shares". I haven't yet found a way to save the "show admin shares" option, though.

Thanks, good news!TCv7 will show all hidden shares when you choose "show admin shares".

And where is the problem in particular? I supposed it should work as following:I haven't yet found a way to save the "show admin shares" option, though.
1. TC saves the selected state of "Show admin shares" in wincmd.ini. The menu item should be a usual "check-uncheck" item as e.g. Show -> Reversed Order
2. When a user enters some server (either via Network Neighbourhood, or via command line, or via editing the path above the file panel etc) TC checks the current state of the option, and if it's turned on TC should do the same action as if the user selected this command by hand immediately after opening the server.

I only recently stumbled across 'show admin shares'. Very handy. The next day though I found myself wondering why TC didn't remember that I had enabled the feature.
If remembering the menu selection is too much trouble, I'd settle for an INI entry. I can't think of any reason I'd not want to see the admin shares.
