Export FTP connections list

Post by *target_locked »

Total CMD has good feature when it can encrypt all FTP connections with only one master password.
I wonder if this encryption is strong enough?

And it would be better if this list can be exported to a file (with encryption) for backup.

Thanks.

Hello target_locked,
I wonder if this encryption is strong enough?
Well, it's AES-256, so to the best of many people's knowledge, yes.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Yes, I'm using AES-256. You don't need to trust me that it's secure, you can review the encryption sources here (or give it to some crypto expert for review):

You can simply backup the file wcx_ftp.ini. You can find its location via Help - About Total Commander.

Christian,
You can simply backup the file wcx_ftp.ini. You can find its location via Help - About Total Commander.
Do we also need some encryption key or similar? I remember this was the case once. IIRC.

No, this is no longer necessary.

I did it but I don't find my connection list in FTP...
How can import in Total Commander my file wcx_ftp.ini ?

Thanks!

Look in menu Help - About Total Commander where TC expects to see the wcx_ftp.ini file.
