Beta3 for WVGA? Others

Just would like to know if Beta3 will contain fixes for WVGA, as well as landscape for certain area's (like rename/properties screen), also other things I have read in the forums (kinda wish you had a Mantis bug tracker or something like that so we can see/report bugs and see a roadmap of what you are working on for the next release), i also happen to have the TP2 and have a few issues (i think it looks ok but other people have commented about it not being of the native size).

Also while others want/will be moving to the Com3/4 branch of WM im going to stay with Com2 (the one WITHOUT the annoying large bar at the bottom) so please dont make it only for the new 6.5

What problems did you experience with WVGA? I don't see any apparent problems in the emulator, so please give me as many details as possible.

Ah, yes, the property sheet is currently fixed width only in landscape mode. I will consider to change it. Any other problems?

ah sorry...

i was gonna ask why i cant multi select like i used to be able to?

I mean i can with other applications and with the internet applications (like a selection box or like TC used to work on my mogul)...

i think i read on this forum something changed... but i still cant comprehend why other apps can do it but TC cant...

(and any chance with WVGA you can you know double the size of everything... its... TINY)

You mean on a WM 6.5 device? You can multi-select with the "Ctrl" button. The list view now uses click+drag for "panning" of the view.

Btw, what other applications? I haven't seen any which can do this with the standard listview control.

yeah I know you can use the CTRL button, but so much easier if you dont have to!

I just reflashed with a new rom, I will go through and find out of all my apps which has DTS (drag to select) naturally and which ones have the option to switch from drag to scroll (rofl both would be DTS...)

Well, I would really like to support drag to select, but WM6.5 doesn't seem to allow it - there is no function to switch a ListView control to select mode.

their has GOT to be somewhere...

oddly enough I was using the old built in file explorer to install total commander and i went over a couple of files (didnt notice I was dragging my finders) and it selected the files instead of moving the screen...

their are others, but im flashing roms left and right with not enough stability to tell which ones do and dont...

Well, at least there is nothing in the documentation. Maybe the Explorer isn't using the standard ListView control...

oddly enough it seems to switch randomly... i cant figure out the method... one min its selecting like a mouse the next its moving the screen (and its stock i havent changed nothin...) so weird

Maybe it's when there are no scrollbars (because there are only a few files)?

it could very well be when their are no scroll bars, or so many lengths deep in a folder tree...

anyway I didnt want to start another thread, but what do you use to make you .cabs?

as of late I have become annoyed with how things are displayed in the programs/remove programs menu, as in Author first App name last!, their are quite a few apps I use and the majority of them sadly have LONG creator names, so the actual app name gets cut off at the end since it only displays so many characters (even in landscape mode)

so anyway when you make your next build (since I cant figure out how to modify a .cab) could you put "by C. Ghisler & Co." as the program name and make the author name "Total Commander v2.52b3"? if I am correct, this will make it show up as follows in the program and remove programs screen:
Total Commander v2.52b3 by C. Ghisler & Co.
instead of its current:
C. Ghisler & Co. Total Commander

I'm using Cabwiz.exe together with an .inf file, nothing special.

I cannot change C. Ghisler & Co. to our new company name Ghisler Software GmbH, otherwise it would no longer be detected as an update.

wait what? dont want (or know) the new company name, and what do you mean detected as an update (this is for the portable version), lost???
