File search dialog does not allow Regex with Unicode
I have a lot of Unicode text files among which I need to find
the ones containing "Directive" and "low voltage", which are
not necessarily together.
So, I go Alt+F7, Alt+T...
I discovered that checking the Regex box unchecks Unicode
and I cannot search.
I do not think it is intended. If it is, why? My example shows
that there are cases when you must search Unicode text using
regex.

Here is a screenshot.

The marked check boxes behave as radio buttons.
Am I right thinking that I cannot add attachments here?

There are two RegEx checkboxes in that dialog - it is the one marked "RegEx (2)" at the lower right bottom that can not be selected together with the "Unicode" box.

To guesss ?
2petermad
Hi Peter !
• Ah ! Right for this one !
- However, that isn't specified in the start message here, how do I guess ?
• Well, this behaviour seems intentional, but if so I would prefer unambiguous radio buttons instead of tick-boxes…

Re: To guesss ?
This is *not* useful, because the 1-rst RegEx concerns the file name and the other RegEx is about file contents.Clo wrote:Well, this behaviour seems intentional, but if so I would prefer unambiguous radio buttons instead of tick-boxes…
Searching for text in Unicode files is currently impossible with regex, and unicode txt files and documents comprise the bulk of any translator's corpus of documents.
I hope I was clear enough.
