Save folder sizes from cm_CountDirContent

Post by *coder_x86 »

Is it possible to remember folder sizes calculated by cm_CountDirContent command (Alt+Shift+Enter) while TC is running? I think it would be very handy especially for network drives, as it can take a lot of time to calc sizes, so when you enter one of these subdirs and return back the size information is being reset and you have to repeat the time consuming calculation.

I know, it may look not very logical as it can show wrong folder sizes in case if their contents change after calculation, but it may be an option in wincmd.ini to turn on this feature for those who are aware of such side effect, isn't it?

That's true. It can take several minutes to get to an end. During that time TC doesn't work.

I mean: I also would like to see, that TC is able to cache the foldersizes when they were calculated once. (I requested this also at beta forum)

"I fully support" means: "You have my vote."

PS: forgot the "I" above - corrected it.
