Question on "Synchronise Directories" dialog panel

Post by *pertheli »

Hello all,

With the tab feature, I now run only one instance of TC (used to use two or more instances before TC 6.0).

With only one TC running, I cannot access TC main window when the "Synchronise Directories" dialog panel is active.

I usually run into situation where I compare directores, pause, move around other directories, even move around in same directories which are being compared, view edit files here and there.

Is there an option to make the "Synchronise Directories" panel modaless so that I can acess TC even if it is active? If not is there a workaround to this (except having to open two or more TC)?

Thanks in advance

I think it's beacuse the synchronize routine is not thread safe, therefor it has to run in the main thread. It's the same thing with the Find Files dialog.
Of all the planets I've been to, this one is my favorite.

Well, but would making the dialog box modaless hamper that much? I'm no programmer but it would really be nice to have the main window accessible even if the dialog is open...
