Hi ! I have a little problem :
my computer is part of a LAN. If i'm browsing someone's shares (e.g. \\someone\folder) and i close total commander the next time i start it, if that someone had turned off his computer i'm stuck for a short period of time (sometimes > 1 min.). Is there an option for default path or something like that so it will always start with the same path (c:\)
Thanks
some help pls

Try to active the menu Configuration entries: "Save position" and "Save Settings"...
That works fine at home with two client-PCs in my LAN, even if the PC has been turned off. Normally, this is saved in the wincmd.ini file. The best is to have that file in the TC-directory (faster when restart). If the file is located in Windows-dir, you can change that using the Inireloc tool (available for free at the www.ghisler.com pages >> Addons

Totalcmd.exe /L=C:\ /R="C:\Program Files"
See TC help section 4a for details. Don't forget quotes if your path includes space chars.
Use the /L and /R command line parameters; example:Is there an option for default path or something like that so it will always start with the same path (c:\)
Totalcmd.exe /L=C:\ /R="C:\Program Files"

anghelcovici,
You could go to Options - Operation and deactivate Save on exit - Directories. Then go to any dirs you wish and choose Configuration - Save settings. Next time you should start with these dirs in the panels.
Another way to go might be to add Noreread=\ to your wincmd.ini under [Configuration].
If neither of these work well for you, go ahead with Lefteous' solution.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
