Show result in Find text

Post by *_mike_ »

I use Find text in Find files almost daily for searching through text files and would really like to see what TC found in the file, a la grep.
I know that there are external programs for this but I would really like to see this as a native feature.
Tried searching the forum but didn't find any threads regarding this.

What do you mean by that - obviously TC found the text you entered.

If you want to see where the text is inside your file, then you can press F3 to open the file in Lister - and if you continue pressing F3, Lister will jump to next occurrence of the text.

Petermad's suggestion is good. But I was hoping that some functionality to text search would be added, like "inforapid search and replace," (http://www.inforapid.de), a fantastically wonderful program which the author did not care to update since 2003. Would Mr. Ghisler care to add at least some features of inforapid?
