Slow delete in 'Synchronise directories'

When deleting a few thousand files from a resultscreen after comparing,
it takes hours to finish. It's a nightmare...
I run Win7 Ultimate, bare metal, not virtualized. Fast quadcore machine,
2 terrabyte disks, 4 Gb RAM.
Deleting 25000 files ? Take a day off, you will be waiting more than 6 hours.
No 'background' option, always 'forground'.
All deletes go to recycle bin, no Shift-Delete available.

Sure it is ! Just press SHIFT-key at "Confirm delete" dialog box and you are done ...

Unfortunately the new VistaDelete method cannot be used with files from multiple directories! I have tried it, Windows even shows the "Delete to recycle bin" confirmation, but then deletes everything directly.

What about deleting them folder by folder with this method. Is it also slower?

I have considered that too, but then you would either get a "Do you want to move xyz to recycle bin" for EACH subfolder, or no confirmation dialogs at all.

I tried "SHIFT-key at 'Confirm delete' dialog box" and
Oh Miracle... it worked !!! So here my next question :
why is such a usefull feater hidden ? Why not show a
hint in the dialog box ? Can't be difficult to implement...

So why not put your own confirmation dialog in front of the delete process with no confirmation dialogs at all.
You already do this, don't you?

The problem is that you wouldn't get any dialogs at all, e.g. when deletion of a file fails, or needs elevation.
