Colored background when quicksearch does not find a match

Post by *ouzoWTF »

I use quicksearch with the "letter - with search dialog"-option.
Now I have some files in my list like this:

Opera_1010_1893_classic.exe
Opera_1051_classic_Setup.exe
Opera_1052_3347_classic.exe

When I try to type nonsense like "opt" to simulate accidental wrong input,
TCMD only writes "op" into the search dialog, because no match is found.

I would like to have TCMD to visualize that there is no match. Maybe with a one or two times flashing red background of the search dialog to get focus to it.

What do you think?

You may use QuickSearch eXtended with option: allow_empty_result=1

Then the behavior will change. If you write "opt" this will result in an empty list. Perhaps this is more what you want.

QuickSearch eXtended has many advanced options and search modes to discover.

Its more what I want, but also not more than that :/
I want to be shown where the problem is. And when I mistype anything, there should be a visual response imo.
But thanks for your reply.
