Multirenametool

Hi,

i like the multirenametool (MRT) very much but i have two suggestions for this tool:

• I suggest a new button perhaps right of "subst." with the name "no Ext." or "use ext."
  with the function to include/exclude the file extension
  for the area for which the regular expression works.
  The most time i only want to change the filename but not the extension.
• In the preview field i would like 2 vertical lines surround the "New Name",
  because it is sometimes difficult to see the borderline of the boundary if the filenames are too long.

Hi,

i have seen the tool ReNamer has an option to ignore the extension.

But i want this option too in the TC. please.

Often i want to replace "." with " " but i must do this in too steps.
First replace all "." with " " the for example " jpg" with ".jpg"

With an option to ignore the extension i could do this with one step and no locking for the right extension.
