Unpacking a running exe from zip

Post by *wanderer »

Here's a test case: have an exe (E-1) within a zip. An exe (E-2) with the same name also exists in a folder (F), outside of the zip (not packed). Execute the exe (E2). Then try to unpack the exe from within the zip (E-1) to the folder (F).

The result is a dialog saying "Access denied on file ...", having the following buttons: "Skip", "Cancel", "Rename". There is no "Retry" button!

The same behavior exists in both 7.55RC1 as well as in TC7.50a.

Ok, the best would be to have the same dialog as with the "Copy" function, with all the advanced options but perhaps this is difficult. Why not have a "Retry" button at least? It seems simple enough. Perhaps this could be added before releasing 7.55 final, if not too much trouble?

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.
