Moving with TC changes the owner

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Moving with TC changes the owner

Post by *solid »

While moving folders with TC on network, owner of the folder changes to my username, while doing it with explorer it keeps the original owner name. I suppose that it is like that because TC creates a new folder and moves the content in it, but i think that it should keep the original owner.
With windows explorer copy/delete method works ok, like in explorer, but it is not an option using it, it is very awkward comparing to TC method. So any enlightenment or solution on this issue?

Sorry, this is intentional and will not be changed. The folder moved to another user's folder will get that user's permissions. If you don't want this, use the checkbox "Copy NTFS permissions".
