Support for themes

Post by *krushna »

Respected sir,

The appearance(gui) looks old like that of windows 95/98 and ugly,
support for themes like vista, green, metallic colors and glossy
icons will make it to have a beautiful look and dominate the
competitors.
When are u going to incorporate this

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. Except for the font (which you can change yourself), Total Commander uses all the elements of the current Windows XP/Vista/7 theme.

Try the TWnKey plugin. It allows to set background picture and color for panels, tab icons and colors, and many other embellishments.

is it planned to allow changing the focus rectangle to system default? This is missing regarding vista/7 themes...

Well, the focus rectangle in Explorer is just a dotted line, the colored background is the selection. You can get an inverse selection in TC too, but contrary to Explorer the selection is "sticky". It doesn't go away when you move the focus rectangle.

TC supports Windows themes - so if TC "looks old like that of windows 95/98 and ugly", then it must be because your Windows look like that.
