Mouse freezes on wifi coping

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Mouse freezes on wifi coping

Post by *psyafter »

When copy over network (wi-fi n, about 7-8MBps) so my usb mouse move very slow.

When I copy files over LAN network (rj45 cabel connected vias router to 2 computers) so there are no mouse problems.

Win7 Ultimate x64, TC 7.55 final.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Sorry, I cannot help you. Normal user mode programs cannot freeze the mouse cursor, that would be a big security hole. Maybe it's a problem with your virus scanner or other system level driver.

strange that in explorer to explorer coping the mouse not moving slow and only in TC I fill it.

What difference between "Standard copy method (recomended)" checked and not checked?

By default I see that it not checked. And I use "compitability mode" for this network drive.

Checked uses "CopyFileEx" for all drives. Unchecked uses a loop of ReadFile/WriteFile calls with varying buffer sizes. "Compatibility mode" actually enables "CopyFileEx" too, but only for the specified drives.

So apparently the Windows function CopyFileEx is giving you these problems.
