The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Delete issues

Post by *Frede »

Has anyone else had a problem with deleting files from network drives?
Every now and then when I select and delete one or more files I get the standard Vista "Deleting x items" dialog and then it just stops and nothing happens. I have to kill Total Commander to get rid of the dialog. Clicking Cancel has no other effect than showing "Canceling..." in the dialog. There is no problem with my network connection and there is no lock on the files (that would give me an error if that was the case). I have not experienced this in earlier versions of TC. Windows Vista x64.

Try using the new VistaDelete=1 method, just add this line to your wincmd.ini under [Configuration], and turn off Explorer delete method.
