Wasn't able to duplicate again,
Opened a file from Notepad2 - icon on TC ButtonBar.

Made changes to file, closed Notepad2, Clicked No to save changes.

Thanks for your report. Unfortunately it doesn't make any sense to me. Total Commander receives a WM_ACTIVATE message and then calls updatewindow(handle); to refresh the window. The actual painting error then occurs in some Windows control.
