When I move (F6) one or more files to a FTP host, then TC does copy only (does not delete the source file).
So with FTP copy and move is just the same.
FTP Moving files from local to FTP does copy only

Hello, bugmenot2.
This behaviour is by design and has been explained by Christian more than once before:
With FTP connections T.C. has got no chance of verifying that the "moved" files have really been transferred to the target disk correctly before deleting them from the local source disk. So there is a chance of losing data.
Kind regards,
Karl

Thank you for explaining it again.
However, no one asked TC to verify the operation. As with every net connection it is known that it can fail. So when I want to move, I know what I am doing.
BTW, even other good and specialized FTP programs allow to move files.
An expert setting in ini file would be nice, obviously a lot of more users are wondering about this TC behavior.
