[BUG?] File Viewer in TC breaks tables in RTF files

Post by *Cobra »

View64 does not brake tables - it removes them :(

But problem is in viewing RTF files with tables in default (F3) viewer in TC...

It does not break all tables, so maybe you can be more specific?

(url removed by moderator)/TEST.rtf.bz2 - works good in Word XP, broken in TC 6.01 internal viewer.

Okay, I have now downloaded and installed the bzip plugin ;-)
Seems to me the viewer just does not support cell height, multiple lines in a cell, merged cells.
I think the results are like they are because the viewer cannot fit the text in a cell which is too small.
I have no clue which specification is supposed to be supported if any.

BTW. I have not much knowledge of the rtf format. You can find some information about rtf file here. You can download a free viewer here

The RTF viewer in TC is simply the Microsoft RTF control coming with Windows. This control is also used by Wordpad, and its capabilities are very limited.
