Copy file while having \\server\ shown in other panel

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Copy file while having \\server\ shown in other panel

Post by *samot »

Minor misbehaviour:

- open \\server at the left or right panel (cd \\server)
- click onto a file at the other panel
- press F5 to copy

-> TC ask's me instantly, if I want to copy 1 file / dir to \\server (seems to be the default Windows copy question). It didn't show's me the usual TC copy dialog

If I should guess I would say, that TC realize's that is is inpossible to copy to \\server (-> no usual copy dialog) but send's the copy request to Windows instead to cancel it.

best regards

TC sees that there is a virtual folder like the Desktop on the other side, so it tries an OLE copy operation. This only works with some virtual folders like the Desktop, but you cannot copy files to the server root.
