toolbar button for "up" directory

I'm using TCMD PocketPC v2.52b3 on a HTC HD2 and I'm finding rather hard to go up a directory.

\ and .. buttons are so close to one another that one cannot navigate, I know that I can get the popup menu by holding but it's rather slow.

Then I've found the toolbar, one can add buttons with commands like "cd \Storage Card". I was hoping to put there a big fat button to go up a directory but "cd .." doesn't work.

It would be nice to have some means of putting white space between buttons, this way it would be more finger friendly.
