Sync menu is impossible when a panel is not real path

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Sync menu is impossible when a panel is not real path

Post by *HBB »

This is a minor difficulty.

When one of the panels is not a real directory (e.g. My Computer, network, ... etc.), 'Synchronize dirs..." menu does not open the dialog.

Actually, the user may want to reach the prerecorded sync item in the dropdown list. I believe that there is no need to check current panels before opening the dialog.

Hello, HBB.

To the best of my knowledge this is a known limitation of the function "synchronize folders": it cannot handle virtual folders, yet.

So the workaround is not to go to a virtual folder, but to the physical folder which the virtual folder is a view of.
This may not be feasible for virtual folders which are actually views of two physical folders like the much beloved "desktop" folder.

Kind regards,
Karl

Hi karlchen,

It seems you've switched to fast from one forum to the other.

Kind regards,
Lars Einnicken
