FTP Upload Problem

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

FTP Upload Problem

Post by *KaiJaeger »

When I upload a single file the progress bar works fine until it reaches 100%. Then it remains unchanged until I cancel it. Is 100% reproducible. However, the upload operation was always performed successfully.

Not sure whether this is the same problem:

When I upload two file everything is fine until the first file is finished. Then the progress bar stops updating. Is 100% reproducible. However, it seems that the second upload does not even get started.

Hello KaiJaeger,
Are you using Passive or Active mode?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

2KaiJaeger: May it is a problem with the FTP server?
Have a look at TC7.55 Behaviour which will not be changed: FTP waits forever at 100%

I tried both, no different.

I forgot to mention something important: The problem made an appearance after I upgraded from 7.? to 7.55 - before the update it worked just fine.

However, I tried the same thing from another machine and it works, so I cannot blame TC any more.

At least so I thought. Only when I looked into the configuration in order to enable an FTP log file I found that up/downloads can be performed in the background. I tried this and guess what: the problem does not occur then!

P.S.: Not exactly: It says transfer completed (100%) but when I try to close the dialogue box it insists that the upload got cancelled.

The log file is saying:

226 Transfer complete.

KaiJaeger,
The log sounds as if you were using active mode.
