Search not finding wcx_ftp.ini

I searched with TC (7.50) location of wcx_ftp.ini
and did not find it??!!
Furthermore TC is not finding wcx_ftp.ini in:

C:\Users\daniel\
but from this point on in directory structure TC finds wcx_ftp.ini:
C:\Users\daniel\AppData\

wcx_ftp.ini is in:
C:\Users\daniel\AppData\Roaming\GHISLER

However I cannot find

There is a key InstallDir in [Configuration].

I only got this folder by requesting
Change Settings Files Directly

and then pretending to Save As.

Googling I got this Forum thread (my first post because of link was rejected

In order to find out what the current %COMMANDER_PATH% is, launch cmd.exe from inside the running T.C. Inside cmd.exe execute these commands:
echo %COMMANDER_PATH%
echo %COMMANDER_INI%

Fine. But why is TC not finding "its own" files in C: ??!!

Go to menu 'Help - About' and read wcx_ftp.ini file location.
If some configuration file wasn't used before, it may be non-existing.

It depends on registry settings where TC expects to see wincmd.ini and wcx_ftp.ini.

InstallDir parameter is optional and is not used to detect INI placement.

Do you have hidden files enabled in TC? If not, TC won't search in hidden folders.

File wcx_ftp.ini is created if you do any change in ftp options (most users set passive mode). Otherwise it doesn't exist.
