[maybe not a BUG]Pause->Continues

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[maybe not a BUG]Pause->Continues

Post by *miskox »

Hi all,

- I select a file (or more files)
- press F5 (or F6)
- press ENTER to start the copy/move process
- few seconds later I pause the copy/move operation and it pauses
- now I click the button Background so the thread would go to the background

It is *not* Paused any more - it continues with the operation. I would assume that it would stay in the same state (Paused).

Bug? Feature?

Thanks,
Saso

Cannot confirm. When I click Pause and then Background, I still can click Pause button in background copy window and operation pauses.

@miskox

Confirmed with 7.55a on Win-7. A bit unexpected indeed, if filesize is small one could be too late to stop it. If you were to overwrite a file with the same name you would already have lost it once you confirm the warning.

Unfortunately the operation needs to be unpaused to be moved to the background (because when paused it hangs somewhere in a sleep loop, from which it must exist to be moved to the background).
