crash after Ctrl+E

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Not confirmed.
W7x64Eng, TC 7.55.
Does it happen every time you press Ctrl+E?
If yes, restart TC, restart computer, retry. Reproduced?
Try to start TC with an empty/absent ini. Reproduced?

Thanks for your report. The error was unfortunately not in my code, but in Delphi code (TCustomComboBox.ComboWndProc). If you get it again, please send me the section [Command line history] from your wincmd.ini, it may be caused by a problematic command line (too long?).
