Accessing an ext2 image

Post by *hhenault »

Hello guys,

under XP and T.C., I want to hack an ubuntu distro for HTC phones, which contains mainly 3 files :

- a kernel ("zlmage")
- an init file system ("initrd.gz")
- the main ext2 file system ("UBUNTU.img")

I won't put my nose in the kernel file.

I can easily access the init file by unpacking, then renaming to "initrd.cpio", then opening with T.C.

The main image can be mounted under UNIX with the '-loop' option. So I think it should look like an iso image or something like that.

Any idea how could I acces this file ?

Thanx for all suggests.
