Currently the "Limit tab title length to:" configuration option limits the tab title length unconditionally. If this option is used to allow for more tabs in a line, the behavior is illogical.
Why not to add the "if necessary" check box to the configuration?
If it is checked, then the tab title will be truncated only as much as necessary to fit into the panel width.
Add "if necessary" modifier to the "Limit tab
