Replace <> tabs mover with a tabs list

Post by *Octagon »

The <> control that moves folder tabs left and right when there are more tabs then the panel can handle is starting to look outdated. Why not replace it with a button that presents all tabs at once in something like the Windows XP start menu (that is, with tricks to show as many tabs as possible simultaneously)? That is, follow programs like Firefox or Visual Studio.

This can be useful (visible?) when there are many tabs and when some tab titles are truncated.

I also guess the tab list can include commands that are useful only when there are many tabs, like Sort Tabs.

I'm using a standard Windows Tab control to get the benefit of Windows themes here, so I cannot just replace it by something else. :(

It doesn't need to replace the [<][>] buttons it could just be in between them.
E.g. [<][*][>]

Pressing [*] would give either
1) A regular context menu (#32768) with a list of Tabs, OR
2) A regular ListView with a List of Tabs.
*BLINK* TC9 Added WM_COPYDATA and WM_USER queries for scripting.
