1) There exist now so many widescreen monitors. Is it maybe possible to give the option for a third main column for another drive? This would make the work much easier for people with many hard drives.
2) Is it possible that the user can mark folders to protect them against being seen from bystanders, who don't need to see everything. Many people are getting in difficult situations, if they have an friend on the side sittting, who can read ALL folder names. It is not needed to log the folders, it is enough to protect the user against embarrasing moments.
3) What you think about the idea to use the Bluetooth on Notebooks to protect the privacy on TC. If bluetooth is activated and the user have his mobile phone connected to the bluetoth: If the user leave his computer and the singal to the bluetooth on the notebook is lost, then TC log automaticaly, to stop other people from sniffing around.
4) With the same logic, the bluetooth could be used as a security against thiefs. If the bluetooth singal is lost, the phone gives an alarm. The owner knows that somebody took his Notebbok away.

Maybe the Ignore list (cm_IgnoreConfig) could do what you need?Is it possible that the user can mark folders to protect them against being seen

Hello, FrankyBkk.
As far as the request expressed in your thread title is concerned, "TC as a alarm system via Bluetooth against stealing!", I tend to state, "Total Commander is an advanced file-manager. Therefore this is request goes far beyond the scope of a file-manager.
Apart from the lurid title which may have been chosen mostly as an eye-catcher, posting 4 pretty unrelated requests in a single post is problematic, because how are we going to discuss each request?
Basically, the same rule that applies to bug reports, "Report one bug per thread", applies to feature requests accordingly, "Post one feature request per thread".
Ad feature request 1) Adding a third panel to the T.C. interface
This has been requested and discussed more than once before.
So far Christian Ghisler, the programme author, has rejected the idea because it has a strong tendency of breaking the two file panel philosophy of source and target and because from his point of view using folder tabs is even more flexible and more efficient than a third file panel.
Ad feature request 2)
From my point of view in particular the reason given makes this feature request very specific. More important, however, you can already get what you want by defining a different foreground color for self-defined file groups and folder groups. Check out "Define colors by file type ..." inside the configuration dialogue boxes.
Ad feature requests 3) and 4)
As stated before, this is way beyond the scope of a file-manager.
Kind regards,
Karl
