Feeding multiple filenames to a custom menu command

Post by *zeflash »

I don't know if it's possible already - I didn't find any info about this in the help.

I would like to feed more than one file (%N) as the parameters for a custom command. Like the generated list when using %L for example, except it would be feed directly to the app.

Can that be done in some way? If not could this be added sometimes? I can think of a lot of applications that would benefit of that (packers, media players, etc)

Thanks

Search this forum for "lst2multi" and "lst2str".

A clarification to Black Dog's explanation: TC is able to generate either one file name or a list file which contains a list of files, some programs support list files (rar, 7z and others) other programs don't (winamp ...) for these there are a couple of tools which take the list file and 'convert' it to multiple file names in different ways.

Tools: lst2multi, lst2str, lst2run etc. (most can be found on Maxwish's site)

Cheers.
