Hello GWArne
how did you manage it to use Total7zip-plugin in Freecommander XE? I have the same problem and it doesnt work.
I tried it and opening 7z-files works good but making 7z-files crashes fc immediately...
In the FC-Settings for Archiver plugins i made a link to the total7zip.wcx; the supported options nuber says 735. Is that correct or does is need additional settings?
Another question: can i make different settings in FC f.e. for 7z (read and write) and rar (only read)?
Have you installed the 7z-software or only the plugin?
Thanks in advance

GammelBert, the main advantage is that you can update 7z.dll w/o waiting for 7z.wcx updates.
And, it provides unpack support for many formats that 7z.dll supports (including iso, nullsoft nsis etc).
And it packs/unpacks in background. Also you can use 64-bit version for packing if you're under x64 Windows (you just need additional two files from 64-bit 7-Zip).

To the plugin author Total7zip:
Hello, you made a useful plugin, thanks for that.
But my question is, why did you bundle the latest version (0.8.1.0) of
Total7zip with 7-Zip 9.20.04 alpha files? Is there a special reason for doing this
I mean, it is risky enough to use beta versions, but bundling your plugin with
an alpha is irresponsible!
If someone really wants to use the latest version, he can change the 7-Zip files
by himself, that is the advantage of your plugin.
To make it short: Please keep bundling final release files of 7-Zip only! Currently 9.20 (2010-11-18 )
