Bad folder thumbnails using different background color

Hello, Jesus.
I just checked it out on my Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit. Aero theme is on. Total Commander 7.56a uses a non-standard background colour, something between yellow and orange.
What gets displayed as white spots in your screenshot will be displayed as gray shadows here.
I wonder whether this problem might be related to the other problem which you reported here: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=28866.
As a matter of fact I wonder whether both problems may have the same origin.
Kind regards,
Karl

This is a Windows 7 specific problem (works fine in Vista) with alpha transparency PNG Explorer Icons, only noticeable if you use a dark or colored background instead of the standard white background.

It all depends on whether the Explorer returns pictures with transparent background or not. Apparenly Windows 7 does not. Since it's not possible to tell it what background color is needed, it uses the default window background. So to use gray, you would have to set that in Control Panel, not Total Commander.

Thanks again Holger.
Background color seems fixed, but now there is severe aliasing.

At least for the x64 version this looks much better now in windows 7 x64.History.txt wrote:23.09.11 Release Total Commander 8.0 public beta 2 (32/64)

20.09.11 Fixed: Thumbs view: Alpha blending (transparency) not handled correctly, folders look ugly (64)
Thanks.
Is it possible to apply the same fix in Delphi 2 code for the 32Bit version?

Yes, I tried it, but it doesn't work. I get a black background instead. I have no idea why it works with 64-bit but not with 32-bit. Maybe AlphaBlend is influenced by other GDI functions called before it?
