Believe me or not, I added the * (I copied your code)
and it didn't work.

I removed the * and it did work.

I can't do anything about it, it works only without * on my system. :-)

2Horst.Epp,
Thank you for explaining that. I knew it had to be there. I just wasn't sure of the exact technical reason why. raytc might be using a version prior tp 2.0 beta 3, which would explain why it works the way it does for him..

Yes resolved!
I have the 1.2 version.
I changed to 2.0 beta 4 and had to add the * symbol.

1) Copy - Paste into your usercmd.ini :

[em_TeraCopy]
button=%commander_path%\Teracopy\Teracopy.exe,0
cmd=%commander_path%\Teracopy\Teracopy.exe
menu=Copy with TeraCopy [Shift+Alt+F5]
param=Copy *"%L" "%T"

[em_TeraDel]
button=%commander_path%\Teracopy\Teracopy.exe,4
cmd=%commander_path%\Teracopy\Teracopy.exe
menu=Delete with TeraCopy [Shift+Alt+F6]
param=Delete *"%L"

[em_TeraMove]
button=%commander_path%\Teracopy\Teracopy.exe,2
cmd=%commander_path%\Teracopy\Teracopy.exe
menu=Move with TeraCopy [Shift+Alt+F8]
param=Move *"%L" "%T"

------------------
After that add buttons on to your bar with commands: em_teracopy, em_teramove, em_teradel
Please be attention to your TeraCopy path.

As you see, I suggest also shortcuts for those commands.

2) Use configuration from TeraCopy to add buttons on default bar:
Run TeraCopy - More - Menu - Options - Total Commander
How and where would you enter the shortcuts in TC?
chmod a+x /bin/laden -- Allows anyone the permission to execute /bin/laden

Go to Configuration\Misc\Redefine Hotkeys (Keyboard Remapping), there you can add the commands (eg. em_TeraCopy) to what ever keyboard shortcut you want.

Try also with these aliases:

ccc=em_TeraCopy
mmm=em_TeraMove
ddd=em_TeraDel

Now it's enough to write ccc OR mmm OR ddd in command line and selection (or file under cursor) will copy OR move OR delete from source to destination panel.

2WhACKO,
Thanks! I have never used that before. It is pretty slick. ;)

I did both. Hotkeys and aliases. The only thing I would like to see added is the arrow drop down for the Aliases like there is for the Hotkeys so we can see the list of what aliases we already have.

Maybe we should make a thread for a suggestion for that.

Or a bug report... A small oversight.

I'll let you decide and run with it. ;)

I'm using and I encourage using of Ultra TC Editor with it's 'Hotkeys Editor' which have in same time both hotkeys and alias available.

For TC seem to be a feature, but anyway a necessary one.

unicode characters in file/folder name

Post by *aabra1 »

TeraCopy portale is working with TC for me except for one not so minor problem
if file(s) or folder(s) you are trying to copy/move/delete has non-ASCII character in the name it just fails.

anyone has any luck using TeraCopy portable for processing non-ASCII named files and folders?

p.s. I was able to integrate FastCopy with TC and it does process non-ASCII named files and folders.
It makes me think that it is not TC's problem, but TeraCopy's
FastCopy's interface is not attractive at all though.
I would like to figure out TeraCopy and non-ASCII named files and folders. That would be ideal.

Terracopy support unicode list file. Change %L by %WL in your user commands parameter.

2 or more simultaneous Teracopy processes

Post by *aabra1 »

Thanks nsp!
that '%WL' works great for unicode names.
Where did you find it? I do not recall seeing it anywhere?

Do you think you can help me with another TeraCppy challenge?

When I start 2 or more simultaneous Teracopy processes the first one finishes and the subsequent ones get stack.
You can see them sitting in TaskManager but they are not doing anything.
I am wondering if TeraCopy supports multithreaded copping.

To recreare it:
Start TeraCopy copping of a large file and before it finishes start the 2nd Teracopy coppiing of a file.

Thanks
