Persistent Ctrl+S

Hi,

often times when I navitage between directories I use Ctrl+S to do it faster. Sometimes though I have to press Ctrl+S up to 5 times to move to the directory I want to be in.
I was thinking of this 'persistent Ctrl+S' function that will act just like normal Ctrl+S but after changing the directory the Ctrl+S search field would stay active/focused.
It could disappear for example by hitting Ctrl+Enter instead of just Enter or something like that.

See the options in Configuration dialog> Quick search page.
I think the option "Letters - with search dialog" is suitable for you.

I also recommend letters - with search dialog. A permanent Ctrl+S window wouldn't be helpful, because you would have to focus it somehow - either with the mouse, or a shortcut. Therefore you can press as well Ctrl+S (or the letters you want to find).

Quick letters are even faster than my idea. Thanks!
//edit: Hmm, after a quick test I have a question: how do you gain focus to the 'command line field' at the bottom of tcmd window when quick letters are enabled?

Shift+Left or Shift+Right.

Also you may assign some key for cm_ShowQuickSearch command and use it instead of Ctrl+S to show quick search window - you may choose faster key and it won't change filter state.
