Shift F5 (copy in the same directory) occurs an error in "My Documents" ("Eigene Dateien")

I use TC 7.55a and windows XP

I use the left button in the breadcrumb-bar to enter \\Eigene Dateien\, then Shift-F5 brings :
"the givne target path \\Eigene Dateien is invalid"

This is because My Documents (\\Eigene Dateie) is a virtual folder, and TC isn't fully supporting virtual folders.

Use cd %$PERSONAL% in stead, to go to the real My Documents folder (the personal part) or cd %$COMMON_DOCUMENTS% to go to the common part of My Documents.

I can reproduce the described problem e.g. on Windows 2003 servers, provided the user's "My documents" folder has not been redirected to a non standard folder.
I.e. if "My documents" actually still is "C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents", in this situation the problem can be reproduced.
If, however, "My documents" has been redirected to a different drive, then T.C. will go to "\\My documents" and realize, hey, this really is \\somewhere\somefolder\" and perform the requested copy.

The only workaround is as explained by petermad.

No, the problem will not occur on Vista, Windows 7 and Server 2008.

I'm sorry, Shift+F5 is currently not supported in virtual folders.

This is probably a very stupid question but is there any way to display the "My Documents" (and eventually "Desktop") in the drive selection droplist ?

If it's not possible what would be the most pratical solution to get a direct shortcut to those folders ?

[EDIT] cm_ display as a virtual drive "\\Desktop" and cd %$DESKTOP% the full path, concretely does it change smth ?

Is there then a way to assign hotkeys to those commands ?! (ie. ALT+key)

Yes, internal commands like cm_OpenDesktop are also available, but they refer to only some of numerous paths. To go to, say, "My Video" folder you should only use cd %$MYVIDEO%.

About hotkeys:
Configuration \ Options \ Misc \ Redefine hotkeys...

Just click on the small triangle to the left of the current path to see the virtual folders, or press Alt+F11/Enter for the left / Alt+F12/Enter for the right virtual folder list.
