TC Editor does not understand UTF-8 BOM

I used the internal commands 123 or 124 to write the marked files to a text file.

When the created files is opened with the TC Editor, the first line is shown as starting with a blank. The same is true for gEditor. But with the Jota Text Editor, the file is displayed correctly.

It seems that the TC Editor does not understand the UFT-8 Byte-Order-Mark.

Sorry, cannot reproduce, the file shows up correcty in TC editor on my phone.

Which Android version do you use?

I have a HTC Desire HD with Android 2.2.1

Strange, I have Desire (withour HD) with Android 2.2 too! The BOM is not shown in the editor. Maybe I can try to remove it when loading the file.

Do you use the standard HTC software, or a 3rd party ROM like Cyanogenmod? I'm using the standard software (not rooted).

With rc1 it works OK.

Indeed I'm now removing the BOM when loading, and re-add it when saving (only if there was one before).
