[8.0b1 - x64] Half directory file size in .tar.gz file
[8.0b1 - x64]
1. Make a tar.gz (tgz) file using TC from a directory which has files and directories in the directory you will pack.
2. The directory file size in a .tar.gz file shows half of it's real size by pressing space on a directory using TC. Filesizes are okay but directory sizes are not.

Unfortunately I couldn't reproduce your plugin. Also the sizes shown by TC x64 are the same as with TC 32 bit. Could you verify this, please? Maybe TC was packing only half the files?

another try - same 32bit/64bit old and new do the same
how to show the YouTube link?
- embed - bRVLRSLL-3A
put the url of youtube in front. It works indeed the same in 7.56a 32 bit and 8.0 beta1 64 bit. It's the same everywhere but at the end of the video you see that the .tgz directory size shows: 4.517.376 and the normal directory size in TC is: 8.687.383.
So it's not a big deal and you can decide to do something about this yes-no. I don't mind. Saw this for the first time while using v8.0 64 bit beta1 but it's not v8.0 specific. It happens also with 7.56a.
thanks for the best file manager ever Ghisler

Postponed to beta 3. Could you create a small (max 500k zipped) sample tar archive and send it to beta at ghisler dot com, please? I will then check it in the debugger.

When looking at your video, it seems that not all files were packed to the TAR file. Could you use "Synchronize dirs" to compare the TAR contents with the original folder, please?
