[32] pl files are not being displayed
If I want to display a file with extension pl, Windows starts a download (even if I choose language = English, a German dialog box appears: Dateidownload - Möchten Sie diese Datei speichern? ...). With 7.56a the file is being displayed.

Hello, Burkhard.
Sorry, fail to understand what you do to get a download dialogue?
You select a filename having the extension .pl.
What is your next step? Double-clicking the filename?
If I press <F3> on a filename having the extension .pl T.C. will display the file content inside its lister.
If I double click a filename having the extension .pl T.C. (rather Windows itself) will display a dialogue which tells me that it does not know what to do with the file. It asks whether I wish to search the web for the appropriate programme or whether I wish to look for it on the local machine.
But nothing gets downloaded automatically here.
If your T.C. 7.56a opened .pl file in a particular programme, had you created a T.C. internal association for .pl files which T.C. 8 beta1 does not have perhaps?
Kind regards,
Karl

Interesting, are these just normal Perl scripts? I tried with some I have here, and F3 works just fine with Multimedia enabled.
Maybe some plugin tries to pick them up?

I installed 8.0 Beta 1 parallel to 7.56a. And now 8.0 has all the plugins, and 7.56a has now plugins. Is that a bug or a feature? Maybe I've choosen a different directory for the ini files when I installed the Beta. It seems to me that 7.56a hast lost it's configuration when installing the Beta.Schultheis wrote:It was the ieview plugin.ghisler(Author) wrote:Interesting, are these just normal Perl scripts? No, the settings are not changed - can you check in Help - About Total Commander where TC expects to see the file wincmd.ini? You need to check this in 7.56a, and make sure that the ini file really is there.
