TC rereads file panels when comparing files in overwrite dlg

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC rereads file panels when comparing files in overwrite dlg

Post by *Flint »

1. Open a very slow drive in the right panel (e.g. network or slow USB flash stick/memory card), any other disk in the left panel.
2. Select a file in the right panel that exists on the left panel.
3. Start copying it to the left panel.
4. In the overwrite confirmation dialog press Ctrl+Shift+F3 to compare the files.
5. Both file panels in the background main window are forciby refreshed which takes long time for the slow drive, and before the refresh procedure ends it is impossible to do anything with TC.

PS: It seems to be an old problem, because 7.56a behaves the same way.

I could reproduce this problem, but ONLY when I save one of the files in compare by content.

Here rereads happen at the moment I just open the Compare by content window. Even more, I can see that the dotted cursor becomes visible in the file panels in the background and then hidden again. Looks like focus jumps into the main window (despite the fact it's unavailable under the modal dialogs) and then back to the dialog.
