minor GUI issues in Search->Advanced panel

Post by *sz »

"Same contents" is shifted up by one pixel
http://noob.hu/2011/10/08/tc_samecontents_1px_up.png

the relative position of the 2 ">>" buttons (1px vs 2px)
http://noob.hu/2011/10/08/tc_search_button_spacing.png

the size of the 2 updowncontrols is different
http://noob.hu/2011/10/08/tc_search_updown.png

tab (key) navigation order is incorrect:
(enable File size and Attributes checkboxes)
current order: Compressed->Encrypted->updowncontrol in File size->Find duplicate files
should be: Directory->Encrypted->Read only->System->Compressed->Find duplicate files

Thanks, I will check that - it seems that the Lazarus controls use some slighly different positions due to rounding differences. It may also be depending on the theme and font used.

positions are fixed in 8.0b5, width of the two updowncontrols still differs (marked with green horizontal line on the original picture)

about the taborder of attributes:
i agree that the fixed (8.0b5) tab order is the more logical order of items, but jumping back to first row after the end of second row is still confusing, maybe moving encrypted to second row of checkboxes would be a better solution?

Thanks for confirming the fix!

The tab order in the attributes section is by design. It's like this also in older TC versions. The reason is that "encrypted" was added only later.
