Bugreport
There aren't many bugs in TC that I find bothersome but one that does bug me a little bit is that when I browse a Unix archive (.TGZ) and look at its contents, when I jump back it doesn't return me to the directory where the archive is located but instead to the temporary directory where the unpacked archive is being stored.
Please fix this. Regards, BigPilot

The funny this is, that it only happens when you use the backspace key, pressing enter or mouseclick on the ".." item or using the Alt+Back to go back in the history, works as it should.
Actually, using backspace still brings you back to the original archive, it just have a one second delay.
I've seen this brought to Chritians attention a couple of times before, but he doesn't seem acknowledge it.

Hello!
• That occurs too when you open a SFX archive (Ctrl+PgDown), then another packed file inside (ZIP, CAB or other).
• You come back to the "Temp" dir, that is really so irritating! In example: The TC install-EXE archive...
• I saw a Christian G.'s answer somewhere, not very positive about a fixing...

Backspace DOES work, but not if you press it multiple times too quickly. Then TC lands in the parent directory of TEMP\_tc, and assumes that you actually wanted to go there...

Christian,
Just BTW - how many users requested this behavior? Beacuse I've seen a lot of negative comments about this and not one "let it be like it is"...
TIA

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Unfortunately there is really no solution - there are dozens of ways to change the current dir, therefore TC can only react to the fact that the dir has been changed...

But WHY doesn't backspace work the same way as using the ".." item.ghisler(Author) wrote:Backspace DOES work, but not if you press it multiple times too quickly.
Why would anyone want to end up in the temp dir?ghisler(Author) wrote:Then TC lands in the parent directory of TEMP\_tc, and assumes that you actually wanted to go there...
