Seemingly at random (just after starting TC), I have this error pop up. I don't actually have time to do anything in TC itself between when it starts and when the error occurs, so it isn't anything that I am doing that causes it:

This error doesn't seem to come from Total Commander itself, but probably from some Explorer extension or plugin. Why? TC catches exceptions occuring in its threads, and shows a special error dialog. This isn't the case here.

Some 64-bit programs don't work properly when started from a 32-bit program. Try using Total Commander 8 64-bit beta, or start the program from the Windows start menu.
