[8.0ß13 x32] Lister causes TAB key malfunction

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[8.0ß13 x32] Lister causes TAB key malfunction

Post by *mame »

This affected 32-bit TC only.
Tested 32-bit: 7.56a, 8.00 b11, b12, b13 (all affected)
Tested 64-bit: 8.00 b11, b12, b13 (not affected)

Steps to reproduce:
1. F3 (Lister) on a file.
2. Search for a string (mouse, or keyboard F3/F5/F7). Search until "Not found". DO NOT click OK yet.
3. Switch to main TC window.
4. TAB key not working in main window. Other buttons/functions remains working.

Tested with fresh install/ini, no plugins. All 32-bit TC affected regardless of OS (ie TC32 on Win64).

Reported many times, currently unsolvable. Using MessageBox causes Windows to intercept TABs and ENTERs, and there is nothing TC can do. Except for creating its own dialog instead of using Windows API functions, but Christian refused to do that.

It's quite strange though that 64-bit version is not affected…

Fair enough, and I fully support Christian's philosophy/style of programming using standard API.

It's not a critical bug though, just stumbled upon it a few hours ago, never encountered before.
