When 2 files are selected by ctrl-click and there are unselected entries between them and then the primarily selected entry is shift-dragged to another location (to move the 2 selected there) all entries between the first and last of the previously selected entries are also selected and dragged. Shift-click there works as if the first entry wasn't selected and does a normal in-between selection instead of taking into account that the first entry was already selected.
-> expected behaviour (TC 7.x): initially selected entries are dragged only
-> current behaviour: all entries listed between first and last selected are dragged
Workaround: first click, then press shift while dragging

Shift+click is processed always for selecting the group of files, it was discussed on the forum. Just start dragging, and only then press Shift.

This is intentional, Shift+Click (even when starting a drag) will select the files from the current cursor position to the position you click on.

OK, it's really not a big deal, but why is this intentional? The TC behaviour was different all the years before and I guess everyone is used to do this the way it worked before... so why change a common behaviour and force everyone to adopt to it when there is a way to keep it the way it was? I know it's just a comfort feature and you still can hit shift after you start dragging, but why not keep the comfort? In that specific case I guess hardly anybody expects or wants the shift-click/drag behaviour to select a list of files...
