Delete large files error

Total Commander for Android 1.0 rc 4
OS:Android 2.3
SD card:Sandisk 16G SD card class4
File Size≈1G
Delete this file,file disappear,but disk space has not changed.Finally, I had to use chkdsk:/f to fix disk errors.Situation has occurred many times,why?

No idea, sorry - I'm using the standard Java File.delete() method.

Perhaps delete the folder (non-empty directory) will cause an error？

No, TC always looks into the folder first, then deletes everything inside, and only then deletes the folder too...
