Memory not freed when using imgView

Post by *dysmas »

When Quick View is used for the second panel and I use it to view Tiff images in the directory opened in the first panel, each time I view an image, the memory used by Total Commander increases. This memory is never freed, and this can go up to a crash of the system (I don't have Virtual Memory). Please, can you free the memory when a new image is loaded in the Quick view ?

TC doesn't handle tiff files internally. Which method do you use to show them? Just press F3 instead od Ctrl+Q. This will show the plugin name in the title (not if you are using Irfanview as a filter).

When I use F3, it indicates that imgview is used.
My configuration is :

imgview installed
in the configuration of the lister, irfanview is activated.

So, since it is not useful to have both, i uninstalled imgview and the problem disappeared.

Then I deactivated irfanView and reinstalled imgview, and the problem appeared again.

Conclusion : imgview is responsible. I will uninstall it since there is no use for it when irfanView is activated.

Thanks for the information and for the program.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Why should there be any difference?
