Autosize name bar
I don't know if it is possible, but it would be very useful to size the name bar to display the longest name when you double click on it. The same in multi rename tool
Re: Autosize name bar
AFAIK there 's no way to resize the window but you can activate: OPTIONS->DISPLAY-> show filename in file list as tooltip if truncatedjpcv wrote:I don't know if it is possible, but it would be very useful to size the name bar to display the longest name when you double click on it. then you will see the full name as tooltip - as it says.

Sorry to say, but I don't think that it is a good idea.
1. What happens to the other columns if the name bar increases to the longest name ?
They will be squeezed together by size of zero I think !
The short view does the same and avoids the mess to resize them back to default.
2. What happens if the longest name does not fit to a single window ?
I think the vertikal panels view (cm_VerticalPanels) does is much easier and another cm_VerticalPanels switches back in a second without any rearranging.

Hello!
• I agree! Moreover, currently a double-click opens the dirs.-menu.
¤ Most certainly, there is a button now to do this, but many use the double-click still...
• In another thread, someone had asked for a wrapping of long names (I can't find again that awful topic...) to get two rows...
• Another mean is to display the long names in the status-bar, although it's more useful to keep it for the current files informations...
