[TC 8.0b21 x32] and [TC 7] - old bug (Batch conversion)

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[TC 8.0b21 x32] and [TC 7] - old bug (Batch conversion)

Post by *yurus11 »

Hello

The error occurs in a long time since I can remember.

The "module" mass renaming / conversion right of the window we can see the files.

When you start the program, eg: c:\abc\test\1.jpg and enter the mass change is on the right side we see the files in this directory.

In start the program, eg: c:\abc\test\ąścł\1.jpg and after the entry into a massive change in the right side we see the files in the root directory of the disk. (The problem occurs when there are national stamps)

This is a problem that we have to click through the directory tree (if it is more a long directory structure)

Sorry, I do not quite understand your report. Do you want to say that when a directory name contains national characters, the file will not be renamed, but moved to the root?

It's an old error in IrfanView. It has nothing to do with Total Commander. You will get the same error if you rename that folder in Explorer.

Irfanview is not able to handle Unicode. However, there is a plugin which may be able to handle this (Ansi2Unicode):

This is not even related to TC. Why is it in this subforum?
